EnglishFollowing the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take over the Gotham crime world
From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about getting into character while filming “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought to have his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022) but was unsuccessful. For his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.

Colin Farrell is absolutely terrific as Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin
Starring in Graham Norton and the Fans: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was announced that it was getting a TV series and I can tell you that it’s every bit as good as I hoped it would be.
On top of that, Cristin Milioti is equally as good as Sofia Falcone
He was great in The Batman and is even better in a lead role. The two are battling over who is Gotham’s number one mobster and how to “bring order to all this chaos.” Some people were worried that a supporting character like The Penguin wouldn’t be able to carry a series and that it wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not because this is more than just a villain in a superhero series, this is a great crime drama in its own right.
I hope we get more stories like this in this world
It’s a violent, gritty crime drama that is so much fun to watch unfold.
